About Me

Hi there! I’m Lizz, the founder of Herp Huddle—a space dedicated to sharing reliable reptile and amphibian care advice with herp enthusiasts of all experience levels.

By day, I’m a chemist, working with precision and problem-solving to unravel the mysteries of the natural world. By night (and on weekends!), I’m a passionate reptile keeper, captivated by the incredible diversity and unique challenges of caring for scaly and slimy companions.

My journey into the world of herpetology started as a hobby, but it quickly grew into a lifelong passion. Along the way, I’ve faced the same questions and challenges that many reptile owners do: What’s the best way to set up a habitat? How do I keep humidity levels just right? What makes a reptile thrive? That’s why I created Herp Huddle—to provide clear, trustworthy answers and foster a supportive community for fellow reptile lovers.

When I’m not experimenting in the lab or fine-tuning my reptile enclosures, I’m busy connecting with the herp community, learning about new species, and, of course, caring for my own beloved reptiles. My goal is to help others discover the joy of responsible reptile ownership while making the process a little less intimidating—and a lot more fun!

Thanks for joining me on this journey. Whether you’re a seasoned keeper or just starting your first terrarium, I’m thrilled to have you as part of the Herp Huddle family!
